WUSNs enable a wide variety of novel applications, including intelligent irrigation, underground structure monitoring, and border patrol and intruder detection. This dissertation is concerned with establishing reliable and efficient communications in the network of wireless sensor nodes that are deployed in either soil medium or underground mines and tunnels.

Insilico Drug Analysis & Antimycotic Activity structure sensor 3d scanner
A study on the effectiveness of alkaloids in Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium on HIV and as an antimycotic done by identifying the 3D structure of ligand molecules using PUBCHEM and 3D structure of receptor molecules using PDB. Chrysanthemum cinerariifolium samples were screened for secondary metabolites like alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, and terpenoids using GC-MS and showed positive results. ADMET and TOPKAT properties of ligands were carried out through Accelrys Discovery studio 2.1.

Protein Structure Prediction based on Evolutionary Methods structure sensor 3d scanner
The problem of Protein Structure Prediction (PSP) is one of the principal topics in Bioinformatics. Multiple approaches have been developed in order to predict the protein structure of a protein. Determining the three dimensional structure of proteins is necessary to understand the functions of molecular protein level. An useful, and commonly used, representation for protein 3D structure is the protein contact map, which represents binary proximities (contact or non-contact) between each pair of amino acids of a protein. This book includes a compilation of the soft computing techniques for the protein structure prediction problem (secondary and tertiary structures). Two novel evolutionary structure predictors are also described in this work: a multi-objective evolutionary approach for contact map prediction and an evolutionary secondary structure predictor. Both of them are based on physico-chemical properties of amino acids. The evolutionary algorithms produce a set of decision rules that identifies contacts between amino acids and secondary structure motifs, respectively. Results obtained confirm the validity of our proposals.

In structure-based drug design, the three-dimensional structure of a drug target interacting with small molecules is used to guide drug discovery. "Structure-based drug design represents the idea that you can see exactly how your molecule interacts with its target protein.”This structural information can be obtained with X-ray crystallography or nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR). Originally, structure-based drug design was equated with de novo design or building a molecule from the ground up. Structure-based drug design relies on knowledge of the three dimensional structure of the biological target obtained through methods such as x-ray crystallography or NMR spectroscopy. If an experimental structure of a target is not available, it may be possible to create a homology model of the target based on the experimental structure of a related protein. As experimental methods such as X-ray crystallography and NMR develop, the amount of information concerning 3D structures of biomolecular targets has increased dramatically. Current methods for structure-based drug design can be divided roughly into two categories : Ligand-based drug design & receptor-based drug design.
